Bamboo, it's delicious and nutritious! For those of us who are not Giant Pandas, bamboo is an attractive and exotic choice for kitchen and bathroom cabinets -without the outlandish pricing. The versatile grass is very durable (bamboo is classified as a grass not wood -a fact that only pandas and scientists worry over) it has 15% greater hardness than maple and is 25% harder than oak. Harvesting techniques allow for repeated growth from the same root stalk and bamboo can replace itself in as little as 5 years instead of 50 for traditional hardwoods, making an excellent and environmentally responsible alternative. With all of these benefits and RTA pricing you can create a  personal showroom that is good for the environment and your pocketbook.


The Apron Sink.  The combination of Bamboo Scotch Shaker and Bamboo Green Shaker creates a simple modern look with inviting warmth. The cabinets are standard but custom order making them: Custom Order Standard. This means they are made to order from a standard selection of cabinet designs, however, they are customizable, from a slight modification to full custom.  The Apron Front Farmhouse Sink is a new design twist on a familiar kitchen element. This look brings the old cast iron country sink into the modern age. The 36" Stainless Steel Apron Front Farmhouse Sink has a double bowl with each bowl measuring 14" x 18" and a cavernous 10" deep. SS12D0002-2  ($880.00) The 36" Sink Base ASB36 ($234.09) is a custom standard designed to work with most sinks of this type.  The apron sinks are very popular but there is no industry standard for these sinks, however, this is not a problem with our custom order RTA cabinets.

The Drawer Bases. You may have noticed the two 12" 4-drawer base cabinets on either side of the sink DB12(4) ($208.08) They are standard, though only available with the custom order styles. They make perfect bookends for the Apron Sink. The custom look of the of the kitchen is expressed  in the uniqueness of the sink area. To compensate for the small drawers we decided to make some big drawers.  The big drawers are in a 36" Drawer Base DB36(2) ($317.90) , the drawers are extra deep and specialize in swallowing large items whole! We also added a big drawer to the bottom of our custom double oven cabinet.

The Table and Chairs. These one of a kind pieces are solid bamboo! You wont have to worry about termites -but they may attract wayward pandas and jealous friends. The table measures 50" x 30" with a 2" top.  The chairs are 32" x 20" x 20" and the legs are 3" x 3" this is the same for both the table and chairs. Not only are they functional but they are guaranteed to start a conversation.  These are not Custom Order Standard, but you could custom order your own and specify a size and shape that pleases you.

Finishing Touches.  You would think that eventually our designers would stop surprising us...well, actually they have -we are no longer surprised by their brilliance- it's expected now! For example: only they would have dreamed such a simple addition as the cabinet molding would have so big an impact! The molding is cut from 3/4" x 96" x 3" tall filler, TF396 ($53.55) which is also solid bamboo.  Another outstanding choice is the 12" x 2 1/2" Stainless Steel Tiles ($2.52) the tiles compliment the modern look and simplicity of the bamboo styling without calling too much attention to themselves. The Undercabinet Lights ($24.00/pair) are easy to use and add a touch of sophistication without detracting from the feel of the room. We topped our bamboo kitchen showroom off with solid bamboo countertops. There are three of them, the largest measuring 111" x 26" x 1 1/2".  These are certainly indulgent,  but we figure if you're going to do a bamboo showroom you may as well go all out.  You can order bamboo counter tops too through our custom order design service, you will be the only house on the block with bamboo countertops!
